New Skincare Routine Ft. Lush Cosmetics

My skin was a nightmare going through the season change from summer to fall. My skin is oily and acne prone, yet dry in places. I had went to Lush, which is an obsession of mine, for fun stuff like bath bombs and bubble bars. They threw in a catalog and a sample of "Enzymion" face moisturizer because I figured maybe something all natural would balance my skin. I tried the moisturizer out for a few days and liked it, but it didn't balance it enough. It did a great job of not getting as oily as it usually does, but didn't moisturize it enough, so when I read about the "Imperialis" face cream I knew I had to try it. I went into lush and left with a couple other things as well that are now in my new skincare routine.

Here's everything I'm using right now. 

I use this first to take off my makeup. Its Whole Foods brand and I love it!

This Control Corrective salicylic wash helped me through the worst breakouts! Its gentle on my skin enough to where I can use it morning and night if I wanted. I use it in the shower in the morning with my FOREO Luna Mini.

Here's Herbalism. The description says "Gentle herbal cleanser with ground almonds to exfoliate and rice vinegar to mop up excess oil. Help has arrived for troubled skin!"

You take a little bit in your hand, I'd say the size of a round peanut m&m, and a tiny bit of water and rub between tour hands then massage into face. It leaved my skin feeling very clean and soft!

Its a gritty but not scratchy texture and leaves your skin incredibly soft! It has a bit of a vinegar smell to it but its not too bad!

This one says "Mask of Magnaminty - Packed full of peppermint, kaolin and scrubby aduki beans for deeply cleansed skin." I use this every few days. 

When I'm rinsing it off, I dampen my face and kinda scrub my face with it to exfoliate a bit. It has a minty tingly feel to it when its on. 

Next is my toner! I'm using Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist. I will spray this on a cotton ball and apply after Herbalism or my mask to remove residue, I spray directly on my face when using gel cleansers.

Then its time to moisturize with Imperialis! This caught my attention because the catalog description said its for skin that can't make up its mind (dry/oily). I love it, it smells great and leaves my skin perfectly balanced!!

My face has changed dramatically after updating my skincare routine, not to mention all these products are cruelty free!! I am so happy with this new regimen, I had to share that this worked so well for me! any questions, feel free to ask, I'm no expert, but I can tell you my experience.

Montagne Jeunesse Creamy Coconut

I received this Montagne Jeunesse Creamy Coconut mask in my Viva Vox Box from Influenster for testing/review, so here it is...

I was really excited to try it because I love masks, and I figured the creamy consistency would be very hydrating.

Here is the mask in its packaging. 

This mask hydrates using coconut water and smooths using Shea butter and smells like the two ingredients as well. I love this company because its committed to being cruelty free and eco friendly. If interested, you can read more about that here.

Now for the bad news: 

This mask irritated my nose and upper cheek area. All other parts of my face were fine. I thought it might be the cleanser (neutrogena deep clean cream cleanser) I used before the mask, thinking it might be too strong. For proper testing/review purposes I tried the mask again today, about a week later, with a more gentle cleanser, but with the same irritating result :( I've tried other masks from this brand without any problems, so I hope it was only this one, because I seriously admire this company!

Overall:

I love this brand. I loved the smell and texture of the mask, it just didn't like me so much. ;) I still love them and will continue to purchase them (just not this one in particular)!

Yesterday: Worst day ever!

Yesterday morning I woke up to about 10 inches of snow on the ground. I figured I'd better leave a bit early so I can clean off my car and drive slowly.
My car was so bad! It was actually a workout to clean all the snow off. After I cleaned the car off, I dug a path out of my parking space to the main path, dug by other peoples cars, out of my lot. As I was pulling out of the lot I got stuck in the mouth of the driveway. :(

In like 2 feet of snow here! (maybe an exaggeration!)

Yea pretty scary :/ I was crying so bad. LOL This was the first time it snowed so much!!! 

 So needless to say, I was late for work. Some guy that was snow blowing the buildings sidewalk stopped to help me. He grabbed a shovel from the maintenance shed to help dig me out. :( I felt so dumb that I just had to say "I'm sorry, I'm from California!" hahaha 

After a long time I finally got free and gave him $20 for helping me out, It was all I had in my purse.

So I finally got to work and almost got stuck again because the lot hadn't been plowed yet. -__-

My first table of the day at work was a really shady couple and I had a feeling they weren't going to tip, and I was right!! It wasn't anything I had done either, I took perfect care of them. way to set the pace people!! It was a very slow day! Then after work I was leaving and I started my car to warm it up, then grabbed the tool to clean off my car of snow. I closed the door, wiped off the car, went back around to my driver side door,......LOCKED!!!!!! I ran back inside and asked the owner to call Justin's dad because they used to rent out their other building to him. I got the number and called him and asked him to call Justin to come bring my spare key. I had locked my phone in the car too. Ugh what a bimbo! :(
